  • They become the main character

Your child steps into the story as its hero, by name.

  • Their interests shape the adventure

Dinosaurs, baking, the ocean: what they love finds its way into the tale.

  • They don't just read, they take part

Puzzles and activities move the story forward, page by page.

  • Beautifully illustrated, printed at home

Storybook scenes in full color, plus a black-and-white edition that doubles as a coloring book.

  • A story to share

Read it together at bedtime, or let them crack it on their own.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is The Adventure Factory?

We make personalized, printable adventure books for children. Your child becomes the hero of an illustrated story filled with puzzles and activities that move the adventure along, and you print it at home.

What ages are the books for?

Children ages 5–12. You choose your child's exact age when you create a book, and the reading level and puzzle difficulty are written for that age. Younger readers may enjoy a grown-up reading along.

Are these physical books or digital downloads?

Digital downloads. Each adventure is a printable PDF, and nothing is shipped.

Your download link works for 30 days after your book is created, so please save your PDFs to your computer or cloud storage to keep them. After that, we delete the files and the details you entered, which is part of how we protect your family's privacy.

Can I print the books at home?

Yes. Pages are US Letter sized and designed to print well on an ordinary home printer. You're welcome to print extra copies for your own family.

Are color and ink-saver versions included?

Yes, every book comes in both: a full-color edition, and an ink-saver edition with the same story and puzzles in black-and-white line art that doubles as a coloring book.

Can I make more than one book for the same child?

Of course. Each creation is a brand-new adventure, and we work hard to make every new book feel different from the ones your child already has.
